Throwback Thursday: Now here’s a real treat – the match report from our win in the 1974 Division 1 Grand Final!

Trailing by 16 points at half time, the underdog Waters produced “what could only be described as the best quarter of wet weather football” running away with a 28-point win in what was our fourth consecutive grand final.

We remain the only team in EFNL history to win Division 2 and Division 1 in consecutive seasons.

For this week’s replay we are bringing you the highest scoring Grand Final in EFNL history – our 1985 triumph over Boronia.

Despite the Hawks kicking 19.10.124, the Waters piled on 23.11.149 to win by 25 points in a shootout at Coldstream Reserve.

On this day in 2000 Bayswater thumped Vermont by 42 points at their home ground.

The Waters defeated the Eagles twice that season, before losing the Preliminary Final by nine points at the hands of eventual premier East Burwood.
