Last week at home against Doncaster East the U19’s and reserves both had disappointing games, the 19’s despite being outnumbered played at their best and had a great first quarter and could have been level at the first break, they batted hard all day but were just no match for the running game of Donny East. Our reserves were also down on numbers and a few 19’s players filled in but we just struggled to get into the game and the end result was disappointing considering we won comfortably last time we played them. Both sides will look to make amends this week when playing Mooroolbark.

The senior match was one of the best four quarter performances they have played this year, starting strongly we kicked the first 5 goals of the game with all of our forwards making an impact. We continued our scoreboard pressure for the remainder of the match and kicked an average of 5 goals per quarter with a great debut by Andrew Poynter kicking his first senior goal. Our player’s consistent effort was rewarded and we managed to take a comfortable 65 point win. Best players B.Dixon, J.Callanan, M.Jackson and C.McLeod.

A late start to this week’s senior game against Mooroobark with it being played at 5pm as a twilight match – it will be great to get all supporters and sponsors upstairs on the balcony and cheer on the players in their last home game as they finish off the season on a strong note – Go Waters!!
